Summary Of Role

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Communications Assistant to join our Communications team. This is an excellent opportunity to launch your career in communications while completing a Level 4 PR & Communications Assistant apprenticeship. You’ll work closely with the Communications Coordinator and wider team to develop essential skills in internal and external communications, content creation and stakeholder engagement.

What you will be doing

  • Support the creation of internal news updates, employee announcements and client success stories.
  • Assist in writing newsletters and blog content.
  • Support the management and updating of internal communications channels including SharePoint and Teams.
  • Assist in creating engaging digital content such as infographics and video content.
  • Learn to use IT packages such as Poppulo to support digital communications.
  • Provide administrative support and assist in adapting communications materials for different internal and external audiences.
  • Collaborate with communications team on wider communications campaigns such as H&S and Men's Health.
  • Ensure all communications adhere to brand guidelines and support the maintenance of consistent messaging across all touchpoints.

Skills, Qualities, and Experience (all essential)

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above.
  • A grade 5 in Maths is required for this role.
  • Enthusiasm and genuine passion for communications.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Creativity.
  • Proactive attitude with attention to detail.
  • Commitment to learning.
  • Punctuality, reliability and collaborative mindset.
  • Good level of attendance, self‑discipline and time management.
  • Meeting deadlines, managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • You must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

About The Apprenticeship

You will be studying towards a Level 4 PR & Communications Assistant apprenticeship through JGA provider. When not studying, you will work alongside our experienced Communications Team delivering a real communications role. You will need to manage your time and commitments well to ensure that you are able to complete your assignments whilst delivering a highly valued role.

GRADES

You will be required to provide your GCSE Grades prior to selection for the Assessment Centre & Interview. The assessment centre for this programme will take place on Monday 22nd or Tuesday 23rd June in London.

Role Start Date: September 2026

Note: You may be required to complete a DBS check, at either basic or enhanced level, depending on the location you will be working in.
