Shift Leader Days – Children\\\’s LD Service at JLL Living | Poland.

A Day Team Leader at SuperCare provides both structure and compassion in a home where children live with autism, ADHD, severe learning disabilities, and complex communication needs. The children thrive when routines are clear, communication is understood, and the adults around them stay calm and consistent. You will help hold the day together, guiding staff through challenges and celebrating small but important victories with the children. This home has proudly achieved \”Good\” in its first Ofsted rating and is working towards \”Outstanding\”.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts, ensuring routines and care plans are followed with consistency.
• Provide personal care and support with medication, always maintaining dignity.
• Guide staff in responding calmly to behaviours such as spitting, biting, or smearing.
• Use communication supports like PECS, Makaton, and visual timetables to reduce anxiety and build trust.
• Act as a bridge between staff, families, schools, and external professionals, making sure children\\\’s needs are understood and met.
• Encourage reflection and resilience in the team, keeping morale strong even on challenging days.

What We\\\’re Looking For

• At least 3 years of experience in SEN, residential care, or learning disability support.
• Level 3 Diploma in Children\\\’s Care (or equivalent).
• Skilled in autism support, ADHD, and managing challenging behaviour.
• A reflective leader who can stay calm under pressure and encourage others to do the same.
• Organised, dependable, and full of heart.
