Overview

A Senior Night Coach at SuperCare provides reassurance, safety, and comfort while the children sleep. Nights can be unpredictable β€” some children may rest peacefully, while others wake distressed, anxious, or in need of personal care. You will be the steady presence who ensures that, even in the quiet hours, the children feel safe and understood. The home is proud of its recent \”Good\” rating from Ofsted and is working toward achieving Outstanding.

Responsibilities

  • Overnight care and support, including helping children with toileting, bathing, continence, and nighttime medication routines.
  • Providing comfort and calm when children wake unsettled.
  • Responding safely and sensitively to behaviours such as smearing, spitting, or aggression.
  • Maintaining routines and using visual supports where helpful.
  • Recording key information and ensuring smooth handovers to the day team.

What We\’re Looking For

Nights require patience, resilience, and a gentle presence. We want people who are calm under pressure, able to handle challenging behaviour without judgment, and who can provide care with dignity and warmth β€” even at 3am. Senior Coaches require either a Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent, to bring experience and leadership to the night shift. The young people in this home are non-verbal and use PECS/Makaton. There are young people with epilepsy (training provided), so experience with these conditions would be beneficial. Although this is the night shift, the young people are incredibly active, so energetic, compassionate, and bubbly personalities are welcome to apply.

Benefits

  • Salary 20% above sector average
  • Rota: 22:00-08:00 (2 nights on, 2 nights off)
  • 36 days of specialist training each year, including PBS and Team Teach
  • Funded Level 3 Diploma in Children\’s Care
  • Private healthcare & 24/7 GP access
  • Gym stipend & wellbeing support
  • Pension & bonus scheme
  • Free parking and communal cars
  • Clear pathway into Senior Night Coach roles
