SHEQ Coordinator (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) in Tring

We are looking for a proactive and motivated SHEQ Coordinator (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) to join our growing organisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting and developing a positive health, safety, quality and environmental culture across the business.

Working closely with operational teams, you will help ensure compliance with current legislation, industry best practice and company standards, while supporting the continual improvement of our Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) management systems across all UK regions. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a Health & Safety, Quality or Compliance role, or a strong background in the construction industry with a sound understanding of industry practices and legislation. You will be highly organised, an effective communicator and committed to driving continuous improvement across the business.

A full UK driving licence is essential, as regular travel to our regional offices and sites throughout the UK will be required. Role and Responsibilities:

• Assist the QHSE Manager with Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (QHSE) activities.
• Support the development, implementation and continual improvement of QHSE policies and procedures.
• Implement and monitor the Company’s training plan.
• Provide administrative support for Quality management.
• Maintain accident and incident records, spreadsheets and reporting documentation.
• Ensure staff training records are kept up to date and in line with legislation.
• Assist with the assessment, monitoring, measurement and reporting of QHSE performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Preparing QHSE reports, presentations and supporting documents.
• Support the ongoing monitoring and review of the company’s QHSE management system performance.
• Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual QHSE statistical performance reports.
• Participate in QHSE meetings, including preparing agendas, recording minutes, and monitoring follow-up actions.
• Assist with QHSE approval and pre-qualification processes for suppliers and subcontractors.
• Promote and support a positive culture of quality, health, safety and environmental compliance throughout the business.

Environment and Working Hours:

The office is an open plan environment. Company core office hours are 8.30 am until 5.00 pm (4:30 pm on Fridays).

Person Requirements:

• NEBOSH/IOSHH Qualified.
• Health & Safety or Construction-related Degree (desirable but not essential).
• Demonstrable experience in Health & Safety and/or Compliance, or a relevant background within the construction industry.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
• UK Driving Licence.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Full package of £30,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience
