We are looking for a motivated and experienced Warehouse Manager to join a busy and dynamic team in Southend. As a Warehouse Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing warehouse operations, managing a small team, and ensuring that all processes run smoothly. The role will involve hands-on management, from coordinating daily tasks to implementing improvements in workflow and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a small team in a busy warehouse environment.
- Pick, pack, and check orders accurately and according to hire specifications.
- Test and prepare equipment ready for hire, ensuring it meets quality standards.
- Ensure cleanliness and general maintenance of the warehouse.
- Organise and oversee the loading and unloading of company and courier vehicles.
- Conduct regular stock checks and inventory management.
- Make recommendations for process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
- Liaise with customers and couriers regarding deliveries and collections.
- Flexibility to attend events, including corporate and private events (training on equipment will be provided).
- Ensure that all warehouse operations are compliant with company policies and health and safety standards.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous management experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate and motivate a small team.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
- Good knowledge of working with technology and inventory systems.
- A positive, proactive, and dynamic personality.
- A customer service-focused approach with a commitment to quality.
- Full UK Driving Licence (required).
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (occasional flexibility required)
