JOB OVERVIEW
We're recruiting a Mechanic or Vehicle Technician for our client, a busy and well run workshop based in Poulton le Fylde near Blackpool. This is a full-time, permanent position covering a varied mix of private and commercial vehicles across servicing, maintenance, repairs and fault finding. Our client is open on experience level. If you have the right attitude, strong mechanical ability and a genuine passion for the industry, they want to hear from you. This is a long term opportunity with strong earning potential for the right person.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs across a range of private and commercial vehicles
- Diagnose and fault find mechanical issues using diagnostic equipment and technical manuals
- Repair or replace components to a high standard
- Use workshop tools and equipment confidently on a daily basis
- Work independently when required and as part of the wider workshop team
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times
- Maintain accurate records of all work carried out
- Welding work where applicable
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong mechanical ability and hands on experience (essential)
- Experience with servicing, diagnostics, repairs and fault finding
- Confident using diagnostic equipment and workshop tools
- Organised, reliable and self motivated
- Good problem solving ability and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently when required
- Welding experience (desirable, not essential)
- Previous workshop experience (desirable, not essential)
