JLD Recruit is currently recruiting for an experienced Lift Service Engineer to join a well-established and growing independent lift company covering London. This is a permanent position offering a competitive basic salary, a local service route wherever possible, flexible working hours and a strong overall benefits package.
The Role
As a Lift Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for planned servicing, routine maintenance and breakdown response across a range of commercial lift equipment. Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Planned preventative maintenance and servicing
- Attending breakdowns and diagnosing faults
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding
- Carrying out minor repairs where required
- Ensuring lifts are operating safely and reliably
- Building good relationships with customers on site
- Completing relevant service and maintenance documentation
Where possible, engineers are allocated a service route close to where they live, helping to reduce unnecessary travelling.
Salary & Benefits
- £42,500 - £50,000 basic salary, depending on experience and qualifications
- Monday to Friday 8-hour working day
- Flexible start and finish times
- Core hours between 10am and 3pm
- 1 in 4 on-call rota
- £250 standby payment for your on-call week, plus enhanced call-out payments

What We're Looking For
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Lift Service Engineer
- NVQ Level 3 in Lift Servicing & Repair, relevant LEIA modules or equivalent qualification
- Candidates working towards the relevant qualification may also be considered
- Strong fault-finding and breakdown experience
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
