We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Water Hygiene Engineer to join our team in the South West area. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out essential water hygiene tasks, including tank cleaning, mains disinfections, and general maintenance, ensuring that all systems are compliant with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Tank Cleaning & Disinfection: Carry out routine cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance of cold and hot-water storage tanks to ensure compliance with water hygiene standards.
- Mains Disinfection: Conduct mains disinfections as part of regular maintenance or during system commissioning. This will include thorough cleansing, testing, and ensuring the water supply is safe for consumption.
- Water Sampling & Testing: Collect water samples from various systems and conduct necessary microbiological and chemical testing to ensure water quality standards are met.
- Legionella Control: Ensure all legionella control measures are implemented and maintained according to the latest guidance and regulations.
- Reporting & Documentation: Accurately complete reports, ensuring all work undertaken is well-documented. Provide detailed feedback on findings, system performance, and any necessary remedial actions.
- Compliance & Health & Safety: Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of water hygiene best practices and legal requirements. Follow company procedures and relevant legislation, ensuring full compliance during all activities.
- Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism when interacting with clients and stakeholders.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in water hygiene or water treatment roles, specifically tank cleaning, water disinfection, and legionella control.
- Qualifications: Legionella Awareness Training or relevant water hygiene qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds 6035 or similar). Valid Water Hygiene Engineer certification (preferred).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations, HSG274, and other water hygiene standards. Familiarity with industry-standard cleaning and disinfection equipment.
- Personal Attributes: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
