I am looking to speak with a dynamic Senior Commercial Manager – Women’s Sport to lead client partnerships, drive new business opportunities, and manage a growing team within their sport division.
About the Role
You’ll lead commercial growth and client relationships across the women’s sport portfolio, blending business development with account leadership. As part of the senior team, you’ll be responsible for driving new business opportunities, managing key partnerships, and guiding a small team to deliver world‑class campaigns. Business Development & Growth
- Lead new business strategy across women’s sport, identifying and converting opportunities with brands and rights holders.
- Develop proposals, presentations, and tenders that stand out for creativity and strategic clarity.
- Manage the full business development cycle— from outreach and prospecting through to negotiation and contract.
- Build and maintain strong networks across sport, entertainment, and lifestyle industries.
- Collaborate with the agency’s marketing and leadership team to build visibility and reputation in the sector.
- Act as senior contact for key women’s sport clients, overseeing campaign strategy and delivery.
- Nurture long‑term partnerships and drive client satisfaction, retention, and growth.
- Work with internal specialists (PR, social, experiential) to deliver integrated activations that exceed client expectations.
- Line‑manage two junior executives, providing mentorship, feedback, and growth opportunities.
- Lead by example—fostering collaboration, accountability, and commercial awareness.
- Help shape internal processes for business development and client service excellence.
- Stay across industry trends, audience insights, and sponsorship landscapes within women’s sport.
- Provide thought leadership to the agency’s positioning in women’s sport and contribute to new strategic initiatives.
- 7+ years of experience in business development, commercial partnerships, or client leadership—ideally within a marketing, PR, or sport agency.
- Proven record of winning new work and delivering revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of PR, social, and experiential marketing.
- Excellent communicator with confidence in pitching, presenting, and relationship management.
- Commercially astute and highly organised, with experience managing pipelines, proposals, and forecasts.
- Self‑starter who thrives in dynamic environments and has a passion for driving the growth of women’s sport.
