Overview
Our client are seeking a dynamic and experienced New Partnerships Lead to build on its commercial partnerships revenue. This role is focused on driving strategic brand partnerships with a strong emphasis on building long-term relationships with premium brands.
Reporting into the Head of New Partnerships, the successful candidate will have a proven track record in sponsorship sales, comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively across global teams.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute the New Partnerships strategy, with a focus on revenue growth and long-term value creation.
- Identify, pitch, and secure strategic partnerships with top-tier brands, leveraging the global appeal of the brand.
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key decision-makers across prospective clients.
- Create compelling, insight-driven sales presentations and proposals that showcase the value of the Partnership Platform.
- Forecast timely and accurate sales activity regularly to Head of New Partnerships, and update activity/prospect status in weekly sales meeting with the wider team.
- Act as an internal conduit for all prospective new partners, involving and updating other departments as needed (content, race promotion, legal, hospitality, marketing).
- Lead by example with best working practices and processes for both short- and long-term deliverables.
Person Specification
- 8+ years experience in a similar role either brand or rightsholder side
- Demonstrated success in closing high-value deals
- Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles with senior stakeholders
- Ability to think creatively and strategically to develop compelling and innovative partnership solutions
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, advanced communication and presenting capabilities
- Deep understanding and knowledge of the sports partnership landscape
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset and a passion for building something impactful
- Strong team player who thrives in a global, cross-functional environment
