Overview

Our client are seeking a dynamic and experienced New Partnerships Lead to build on its commercial partnerships revenue. This role is focused on driving strategic brand partnerships with a strong emphasis on building long-term relationships with premium brands.

Reporting into the Head of New Partnerships, the successful candidate will have a proven track record in sponsorship sales, comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively across global teams.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Execute the New Partnerships strategy, with a focus on revenue growth and long-term value creation.
  2. Identify, pitch, and secure strategic partnerships with top-tier brands, leveraging the global appeal of the brand.
  3. Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key decision-makers across prospective clients.
  4. Create compelling, insight-driven sales presentations and proposals that showcase the value of the Partnership Platform.
  5. Forecast timely and accurate sales activity regularly to Head of New Partnerships, and update activity/prospect status in weekly sales meeting with the wider team.
  6. Act as an internal conduit for all prospective new partners, involving and updating other departments as needed (content, race promotion, legal, hospitality, marketing).
  7. Lead by example with best working practices and processes for both short- and long-term deliverables.

Person Specification

  • 8+ years experience in a similar role either brand or rightsholder side
  • Demonstrated success in closing high-value deals
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically to develop compelling and innovative partnership solutions
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, advanced communication and presenting capabilities
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of the sports partnership landscape
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and a passion for building something impactful
  • Strong team player who thrives in a global, cross-functional environment
  • High attention to detail and commitment to excellence
  • Resilient with ability to navigate and manage multiple priorities under pressure
