A client of ours is looking for a Marketing Executive to support the delivery of marketing campaigns across a portfolio of events.
The Role
As Marketing Executive, you will support the delivery of marketing campaigns that increase event participation, audience engagement and brand visibility. This is a varied position that combines digital marketing, content creation, stakeholder coordination and event marketing, making it ideal for someone looking to further develop their career within a fast‑paced events environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns to drive event registrations, merchandise sales and spectator attendance.
- Assist with the execution of event marketing plans across multiple channels, including email, social media, website content and paid advertising.
- Coordinate participant communications before, during and after events to enhance the customer experience.
- Help manage event registration processes and support the optimisation of participant journeys.
- Work with external agencies to support paid social media and search campaigns, monitoring performance and reporting on results.
- Create and schedule engaging content across social media, email marketing, websites and promotional materials.
- Assist in maintaining relationships with sponsors, event partners, governing bodies, local organising committees and suppliers.
- Support event marketing activity on‑site where required, helping to ensure successful event delivery and audience engagement.
- Coordinate with influencers, athletes, media partners and third‑party marketing channels to maximise event exposure.
- Monitor campaign performance, track key metrics and provide insights to help improve future activity.
- Support website updates and content management across event platforms.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure marketing activity is delivered on time and aligned with wider business objectives.
About You
- Experience in a Marketing Executive, Marketing Coordinator or similar marketing role.
- Exposure to event marketing, sports marketing, entertainment, hospitality, tourism or mass participation events would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles across digital, content and campaign delivery.
- Experience creating content for social media, email marketing and websites.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working with data and campaign performance metrics.
- Experience using social media platforms, email marketing tools and content management systems.
- Knowledge of paid social advertising, Google Ads or analytics platforms would be beneficial.
- Experience with WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite or basic HTML would be an advantage.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to support events when required.
