Strategy & Operations Associate .

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on operational delivery to improve how world-class international events are planned and executed.

Working across a portfolio of large-scale events, you'll play a key role in identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve operational performance, and help build scalable frameworks that support future growth.

Sitting at the intersection of strategy, operations and data, you'll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure events are delivered efficiently, consistently, and to the highest standards.

The Opportunity

This is a highly varied role where you'll support strategic initiatives across multiple international events rather than focusing on a single project.

You'll analyse operational performance, challenge existing ways of working, and help implement improvements that enhance delivery quality, reduce complexity, and drive greater efficiency.

You'll work closely with teams across operations, commercial, finance, marketing and partnerships, helping ensure operational decisions are informed by data and aligned with wider business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support strategic projects across a portfolio of international events from planning through to delivery.
  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams, ensuring projects remain on track and stakeholders stay aligned.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones and operational readiness programmes.
  • Analyse operational data to identify trends, risks, bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead post-event reviews, translating insights into practical recommendations for future events.
  • Develop reporting, KPIs and dashboards to measure operational performance and resource utilisation.
  • Contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of operational playbooks, planning tools and best-practice documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to standardise, simplify and automate operational processes across multiple events.
  • Produce reports and presentations that support strategic decision-making by senior leadership.
  • Act as a central point of coordination across multiple departments throughout the event lifecycle.

About You

  • Around 2-4 years' experience within operations, strategy, consulting, project management, business improvement or event delivery.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel or Google Sheets capability.
  • Experience using data to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A naturally curious mindset with a passion for improving processes and driving efficiencies.
  • Confidence presenting insights and recommendations to a variety of audiences.
  • Experience within sport, live events, entertainment, logistics or consulting would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with project management software, reporting tools or business intelligence platforms is a bonus.
