About the Role

We are seeking an experiencedFire Alarm Engineer/ Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for theservicing, maintenance, fault-finding, and repairof fire alarm systems across a range of commercial, industrial, and residential sites. You will ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards in accordance withBS 5839and company procedures.

Fire Service Engineer – Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and related life safety equipment.
• Carry out routine inspections and testing in accordance with relevant standards.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs in a timely and professional manner.
• Complete service reports, certificates, and documentation accurately.
• Provide technical support and advice to customers.
• Participate in an on-call rota for emergency callouts (additional allowance paid).
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies at all times.
• Required to travel around London

Fire Alarm Engineer Requirements

Essential:

• Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Service or Maintenance Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems (e.g. Advanced, Kentec, Gent, Morley, Hochiki, Apollo, etc.).
• Understanding of BS 5839 and other relevant standards.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Desirable:

• FIA training modules (Units 14 or equivalent).
• Experience with addressable and conventional systems.
• Knowledge of emergency lighting and smoke ventilation systems.
