Job Description: Service & Technical Engineer\\nLocation: Barnsley, Sheffield, Leeds & Surrounding Areas\\nSalary: £38,000–£45,000 (DOE)\\nThe Role\\nWe’re seeking a skilled and adaptable Service & Technical Engineer to carry out maintenance, installation, and repair work across a wide range of plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. This mobile role offers variety, independence, and the chance to work on diverse commercial sites under the guidance of a Service & Technical Manager.\\nKey Responsibilities\\n * \\n Planned and reactive maintenance on plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and mechanical plant.\\n * \\n Installation and commissioning of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.\\n * \\n Fault-finding, diagnostics, and implementing effective repairs.\\n * \\n Identifying efficiency and system improvement opportunities.\\n * \\n Ensuring compliance with health & safety and completing all required documentation.\\n * \\n Professional communication with clients and accurate reporting.\\n * \\n Regular travel to client sites.\\nWhat You’ll Bring\\n * \\n Proven experience in plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical service work.\\n * \\n Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds, Mechanical/HVAC/Plumbing).\\n * \\n F-Gas certification (required for AC work).\\n * \\n Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.\\n * \\n Good understanding of commercial mechanical and building services systems.\\n * \\n Clear communication skills and a full UK driving licence.\\nDesirable Extras\\n * \\n Experience with specific manufacturers’ systems.\\n * \\n Knowledge of BMS operations.\\n * \\n Additional certifications (unvented hot water, confined spaces, etc.).\\nBenefits\\n * \\n £38,000–£45,000 salary (DOE)\\n * \\n Company van with fuel card\\n * \\n Major tools, PPE, uniform, mobile phone & tablet provided\\n * \\n Pension scheme\\n * \\n 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)\\n * \\n Overtime at time-and-a-half\\n * \\n Door-to-door travel pay\\n * \\n Ongoing training and professional development
