We are looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join our clients team in central London. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a company that excels in commercial security systems and is making a name for themselves both throughout the UK and Globally. The ideal candidate will be a customer-focused, problem-solving specialist who appreciates a challenge and thrives on accountability and being responsible for delivery excellence. The mission of the Commissioning Engineer is to ensure all system installations are commissioned on schedule, and to both the clients and our standards. The Commissioning Engineer facilitates successful delivery through the testing, inspection and commissioning process while maintaining and improving standards. Responsibilities:
- Assist the project manager with onsite trades both external and internal ensuring that all security dependencies are aligned and completed on time to enable the project commissioning to be delivered successfully.
- Communicate on and off-site effectively with the engineering teams, clients, project teams to deliver a 1st class commissioning experience.
- Problem solving by clearly discussing problems, clarifying situations, identifying and explaining possible solutions.
- Discuss with engineers the project commissioning requirements, clarify updates, identify problems, and develop solutions.
- In-depth testing and troubleshooting of all systems access control, intruder alarms, intercoms, and CCTV, along with IP network systems.
- Programming physical security systems including access control, CCTV intruder alarms and other security integrations.
- System setup and programming on large installations and supporting Engineers when they are programming on minor installations.
- Benchtop programming of security equipment pre-installation.
- Completes project testing/commissioning sheets and coordinates engineers in the commissioning process.
- Follow assigned projects to final adjustments, test, troubleshoot and rectify as part of the commissioning and signoff process.
