An experienced and motivated Plant Fitter with strong workshop and field service experience carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of construction plant, agricultural machinery, recycling equipment, and associated vehicles. Skilled in diagnosing and rectifying hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Experienced in both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repair, ensuring equipment remains safe, compliant, and operational. A reliable and customer-focused engineer with a strong work ethic, excellent fault-finding abilities, and a commitment to delivering high standards of workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair a wide range of plant machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and electronic faults.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance inspections and respond to breakdowns and emergency repair requests both in the workshop and on customer sites.
- Complete safety inspections and ensure equipment remains compliant with industry standards.
- Accurately complete service documentation, inspection reports, and maintenance records.
- Maintain a safe and organised working environment while providing professional customer service and technical support.
- Work effectively under pressure to minimise equipment downtime.
