We are currently recruiting for an experienced Security Sales Engineer to join a growing and well-established security solutions provider covering the North East of England. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and technically minded sales professional with a background in electronic security systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, surveying customer sites, designing security solutions, and producing accurate quotations across CCTV, intruder alarms, access control and integrated security systems.

Key Responsibilities- Generate new business and develop existing customer relationships across the region
- Attend customer meetings and carry out site surveys to assess security requirements
- Design and propose security solutions including CCTV, intruder alarms, access control and door entry systems
- Produce quotations, proposals, and tender documents accurately and efficiently
- Work closely with engineering and installation teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to order placement and handover
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and provide regular updates/forecasts to management
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing accounts
- Ensure solutions meet relevant compliance standards and customer expectations
- Represent the business professionally at all times
Essential
- Proven experience in a security sales role (or sales engineer role) within the electronic security industry
- Strong understanding of CCTV, intruder alarms and access control systems
- Ability to carry out site surveys and produce accurate system designs and quotations
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Customer-focused and commercially driven approach
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload and diary effectively
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Experience pricing and quoting larger commercial projects
- Knowledge of integrated security systems and networking
- Understanding of SSAIB/NSI requirements and industry standards
- Experience with CRM systems and sales reporting
- Previous experience working with installers/engineers on project delivery
