We are seeking a skilled HVAC & Heat Pump Commissioning Engineer to lead the commissioning, testing, and optimization of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and heat pump systems across commercial projects (supermarkets). This role ensures systems are installed, configured, and operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards.

Key Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Commissioning heat pumps and HVAC units
  • Troubleshoot and fault finding resolution
  • Perform system testing, balancing, and performance verification
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to validate installations
  • Identify and resolve system faults, inefficiencies, or non-compliance issues
  • Calibrate controls, sensors, and automation systems (BMS and Carel)
  • Produce commissioning reports, test documentation, and handover packs
  • Preventative and scheduled maintenance of relevant plant and associated equipment
  • Timely feedback to appropriate departments regarding ongoing issues and close liaison with technical support/service manager and area supervisor
  • Exemplary communication with customers, always keeping them informed of progress
  • Be available for a standby roster as determined by the Service Manager
  • Timely completion of all job sheets and associated paperwork, fully comply with all relevant processes as outlined in Standing Instructions
  • Bring new ideas and identify new revenue streams
  • Maintain all service tools, test equipment, and protective clothing in a serviceable manner
  • Ensure the company vehicle supplied is always maintained in good order mechanically and visually
  • Maintain adequate vehicle stock in order to minimise duplicate calls and transport costs
  • Advise your line manager of potential issues/opportunities observed or implied during service calls
  • Identify possible areas where service procedures on plant and associated equipment might be improved
  • Under normal circumstances, every effort will be made to restrict the area of cover to within 4 hours travelling time. Certain circumstances may require you to travel to other locations and carry out such tasks as may be reasonably required to maintain contracted and emergency commitments
  • Comply with all company rules and “Standing Instructions” as distributed from time to time

  • Ammonia experience an advantage

  • Full Drivers Licence
  • Excellent English language fluency including engineering & technical terminology
