Role Purpose
To manage the day-to-day operation of the HGV workshop, ensuring vehicles are maintained safely, legally, and efficiently to maximise fleet availability and minimise downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all workshop activities, including servicing, maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of HGV technicians and apprentices.
- Ensure compliance with DVSA regulations, Operator Licence requirements, and health and safety standards.
- Plan maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs to maximise vehicle availability.
- Maintain accurate records and support audits and inspections.
- Work closely with transport and operations teams to meet business requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Strong knowledge of HGV maintenance and fleet compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
