We currently have an excellent opportunity for a new member to join our growing team at Clear Image Systems as a fire and security systems surveyor/estimator. Job Description As a surveyor/Estimator your role will be to carry out site surveys, prepare system designs and quotations for a wide range of systems including Primarily Fire detection, Access control, CCTV, intruder detection and network systems. This will be for client’s requirements both new and existing on a nationwide basis. * Reviewing technical specifications and understanding client’s requirements * Researching suitable components/systems and checking for compatibility * Completing initial designs based on a technical specification * Completing design calculations and presenting technical information * Liaising with manufacturers and suppliers for technical data and pricing * Populating quotations with technical information and costs * Producing design drawings, schematics. In addition, it would be beneficial but not essential for you to have the following skills/attributes * CAD design experience, Visio/CAD/Auto sketch. * Understanding of both fire and security technical standards and systems. * Knowledge of electrical industry, including electrical wiring standards/requirements, preferably with an electrical background. * Experience with procurement and construction processes and systems. * Specialist knowledge for Home Office, Police Custody and Prison specifications would be advantageous * Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with customers. * IT experience, MS Office, iPads and CRM systems. * Excellent time management. Remuneration & Benefits * £34,000 – £38,000 Subject to experience * Incentive based schemes * Company Car * Mobile Phone * Laptop * Up to 25 days holiday a year * Pension Additional Info Due to the nature of the Fire & Security industry and specific contracts, if successful, we will need to complete a number of background checks including a credit check, referencing history and ensure you can achieve DBS Enhanced certification and vetting clearances for both HMP and MOD sites. All hired candidates will be subject to successful completion of these background checks
