The Opportunity: We're looking for an Oracle Payroll Systems Specialist to join a London based organisation to support their payroll function from a technical perspective. They were one of the first to implement Oracle Cloud so systems are well embedded and established but there are also projects coming through to evolve and improve the systems. You'll need to travel to site for onboarding and then expected to be in the Central London office 1-2 days per week. It's an initial 3 month contract with the possibility of an extension and is paying up to £400 per day on an Inside IR35 basis.
The Role: You'll be the SME on the Oracle Payroll System with regards to functionality and how the system integrates and interfaces with other systems. You'll work closely with the Oracle Support Team and will manage payroll systems processes to ensure payments are made correctly and on time. You'll monitor and validate data submissions and returns and ensure that calculations, and formatting are correct. You'll act as the Payroll Service Business Lead on Oracle Payroll developments and will be responsible for functional specifications, reporting, system testing and user acceptance testing. You will work closely with the Oracle Support Team and will share your payroll knowledge to facilitate the quick closure of issues and tickets. You'll play a key functional role managing and implementing payroll process and will be responsible for the management of employee information and data.
The Person: The ideal person will have:
- In depth knowledge of payroll and payroll legislation ideally you'll have started in payroll and become the technical expert but someone from a tech background who has become an expert in payroll systems would also be considered
- Expert knowledge of Oracle Payroll / Oracle HCM
- Overall experience within HR Information Systems ideally - Oracle
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to problem solve and the ability to translate technical for non-technical users
- Knowledge of Systems Analysis, User Testing and Systems Testing
