Role - SAP ABAP Developer Location - Fareham, Hampshire Salary - £55,000 to £60,000 Start - ASAP The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer to join an established in-house IT team.

You'll become a key member of a small SAP team responsible for supporting and enhancing a business-critical SAP environment that underpins warehouse, logistics and wider business operations across multiple UK locations.

Working closely with the Senior SAP Engineer, you'll play an integral role in both SAP development and ongoing application support, with an approximate 60/40 split between ABAP development and technical support.

You'll also contribute to future SAP enhancement projects as the business continues to invest in its technology landscape.

This is a hybrid role in Fareham / Gosport - 3 days office, 2 days from home.

The Role As a Senior SAP ABAP Developer, you'll be responsible for the development, support and continuous improvement of the organisation's on-premises SAP environment.

Working within a collaborative team, you'll develop new functionality, resolve complex technical issues and support the ongoing performance of the SAP platform.

Key responsibilities include

  • Developing and maintaining custom SAP ABAP solutions.
  • Providing second and third-line SAP technical support.
  • Creating reports, interfaces, enhancements and forms.
  • Debugging and optimising existing ABAP developments.
  • Supporting integrations with external systems, including EDI and Azure-hosted applications.
  • Working with Business Analysts to deliver approved technical solutions.
  • Supporting testing, deployments and change management activities.
  • Producing technical documentation and following development best practice.
  • Contributing to SAP improvement and upgrade initiatives.
