We're looking for experienced Data & Digital Consultants to support a programme of work delivering data-led solutions into UK Government. This isn't a traditional Business Analyst, Architect or Data Engineer position. We need people who can operate across these areas - technically credible enough to understand and help shape a solution, while being highly comfortable working directly with customers.

The Role

Working within multi-disciplinary teams, you'll help take complex customer problems from initial discovery through solution definition and into delivery. Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Leading customer discovery sessions and requirements workshops
  • Translating business and operational requirements into technical/data outcomes
  • Business and technical analysis
  • Contributing to solution and architecture design
  • Assessing existing processes, information, applications and technology
  • Shaping data products, information flows and data management approaches
  • Developing options, recommendations and delivery roadmaps
  • Identifying opportunities across analytics, AI, data exploitation, geospatial and visualisation
  • Working closely with architects, engineers, analysts and delivery teams
  • Communicating complex technical subjects clearly to non-technical and senior stakeholders

The Person

The strongest candidates are likely to have worked in a consultancy or customer-facing technical environment and have experience spanning several areas such as:

  • Data / Digital Consulting
  • Solution or Technical Architecture
  • Business / Technical Analysis
  • Data Management and Information Architecture
  • Analytics / Data Exploitation
  • Technical or Digital Delivery

You don't need to be the deepest technical specialist in every area. The important part is having enough technical breadth to understand the problem, ask the right questions, shape a solution and work effectively with specialists to get it delivered.

Previous experience delivering within Central Government, Defence, Security, Intelligence, military or wider public-sector environments is strongly preferred. Existing UK Security Clearance to SC is also highly desirable, particularly where it enables a quicker start. Candidates without current clearance can still be considered where they meet the eligibility requirements and are prepared to go through the clearance process. This role is hybrid - majority of time from home but will require travel to London based clients and occasional trips to the office in West Sussex.
