Job Description
The Opportunity We are working with an organisation who are embarking on a major three-year Modernisation Programme designed to transform how services are delivered to improve operational effectiveness, reduce costs and improve customer experience.
With over 40 projects underway and a significant savings agenda to deliver, this is an opportunity to play a key role in driving meaningful change across some of their most important services.
They're hiring multiple PMs so you'll be getting in with a group of other people and delivering meaningful change.
This is a genuine chance to get in right at the beginning of the transformation and make a real difference.
The Role Lead the delivery of business change and transformation projects across a diverse portfolio of modernisation initiatives.
Work closely with senior stakeholders across areas including HR, Finance, Housing, Education, Adult Social Care, Children's Services and other frontline services.
Develop and manage project plans, governance, risks, issues and reporting to ensure successful delivery.
Facilitate workshops, gather requirements and support the development of business cases and transformation initiatives.
Drive projects from concept through to implementation, ensuring agreed outcomes and benefits are achieved.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Programme Managers and service leaders to identify opportunities for improvement and service redesign.
The Person Proven experience delivering business change, transformation or service improvement projects within complex organisations.
A hands-on Project Manager who actively drives delivery and removes obstacles rather than simply reporting progress.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to challenge constructively and influence senior leaders.
Experience managing projects through the full lifecycle, including planning, governance, risk management and benefits realisation.
Comfortable working in environments where not all the answers are known and able to bring structure to ambiguity.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously.
Experience within local government, public sector, education, NHS or highly regulated environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
PRINCE2, Agile or equivalent Project Management qualifications are desirable.
The role is initially being offered on a 2 year Fixed Term Contract basis but is likely to extend.
They'd like employees ideally in the office on a hybrid basis roughly 2 days per week and the office is North East London / Essex.
