Role overview: To install fire doors and frames at a variety of customer premises, ensuring current fire regulations are adhered to and quality of work is of a high standard.
Key tasks:
- Installation of new BM Trada Q Mark Fire Doors and frames.
- Familiarity with and understanding of current Fire regulations to ensure compliance.
- Identification of labels, CE marks and Plugs to show that a door is certified.
- Fire Door Maintenance / Remedial Works.
- Fire Stopping/Compartmentalisation.
Service Delivery: Demonstrate an understanding of service delivery excellence, ensuring basics are delivered right every time and leading a team where service is central to good performance. Set clearly defined service level agreements for your team, contribute to service training across the business, and monitor/report on KPIs daily to track progress and backlog for all customers.
People Management: Set clear objectives for team members, providing regular feedback on performance. Manage performance to ensure achievement of service delivery targets in line with Service Level Agreements. Address training and development needs and maintain ongoing communication regarding employee wellbeing.
Managing Risk: Awareness of operational and regulation risks impacting operations. Responsibility for reporting any risks to your line manager.
Criteria:
- Essential: Familiar with the BM Trada Q Mark Scheme; experience in installing/maintaining fire doors.
- Desirable: Some fire stopping experience would be beneficial.
Knowledge and Skills: Self-motivated, reliable, punctual, and take pride in the quality of work. Willingness to travel/work away when required. Good communication skills.
Qualifications: Minimum Level 2 Qualification in Joinery or relevant experience, Full UK Driving license, CSCS Card, Joinery (Blue).
