Role overview
We are looking for experienced credit controllers to work in a fast paced and challenging environment. You will be responsible for your own portfolio of customers, collecting customer debts and working with our team internally to resolve queries and reduce aged debt. You will host conversations and meetings with various stakeholders to try and resolve credit issues, so we are looking for people who enjoy collaboration. You will also be part of an ever growing team so we are looking for individuals who want to get involved with continuous improvement and really make a difference to our future. Key tasks
- Looking after a portfolio of customers and understanding how to use your relationship to maximise cash collection.
- Prioritising a variety of daily tasks that deliver on customer service as well as financial targets.
- Working with the accounts payable team to keep customer ledgers up to date and answer any account queries.
- Collaborating with internal teams to deliver on customer success and using this to negotiate payment.
- Working with team managers to put forward your ideas for challenging accounts.
- Taking payments by debit or credit card.
- Working with the team managers and head of department to forecast cash collections.
- Considering next steps when debts are unrecoverable and putting forward ideas on how to move these.
- Other ad hoc duties as and when required.
