Maintaining our customers commercial heating and plumbing assets

Joining the Team

As a Field based HVAC commercial gas and plumbing engineer you will be joining a team of engineers with a vast experience in the industry. You will support us on our mission to be a trusted partner that “takes care of it”.

Key tasks

  • Reactive maintenance
  • Proactive maintenance
  • Attending scheduled planned maintenance visits (PPMs)
  • Support office staff/liaise with Suppliers to identify required parts for Jobs
  • Liaising with Clients to manage the relationship and service
  • Maintain water supply systems
  • Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g., leaks)
  • Service and repair gas heating boilers in commercial premises
  • Install and maintain gas heating systems (small gas fired boilers, radiators, pipework etc.)
  • Cut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure
  • Participate in out of hours on call rota

Service Delivery

  • Demonstrate an understanding of what service delivery excellence is for your role, ensuring you deliver the basics right every time and are part of a team where service is central to good performance.

Managing Risk

  • Awareness of your operational and regulation risks which may impend your operations.
  • Responsibility for reporting to your line manager any risk which may impact the business

Managing Health & Safety

  • Adhere to Risk Assessments and Method Statements, compiling reports in line with H&S requirements
  • Liaising with the ROM to ensure any compliance as part of your role is in line with the framework set

Criteria

  • Excellent understanding of Commercial/Domestic plumbing systems
  • Possess comprehensive technical skills to fault find and rectify
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Have a flexible approach to work. Be prepared to work out of hours when required and be part of the out of hours call out rota
  • IT literate with a tablet or PDA

Experience (what you have done)

  • Worked in a commercial & domestic heating environment across all sectors
  • Understand customer needs for 1 st time fix
  • Worked with a corporate or large company structure
  • Experience of working in a field based engineering/construction environment
  • Air Conditioning Systems Experience
  • Renewable technology
