Role overview
To survey, inspect and certify fire doors in customer premises, covering a wide range of sectors including care homes, hospitals, schools, hotels etc. Some installation will be also be required as needed, working alongside JLA Carpenters.
Key tasks
• Survey, inspect and certify fire doors to ensure they meet compliance
• To be familiar with and understand the current fire regulations to ensure the doors are fully compliant.
• To be able to identify labels, CE marks and Plugs to show that a door is certified.
• Be part of a team carrying out Fire Door Surveys across all sectors
• Produce reports and offer recommendations to clients on how to keep fire door compliance

• Demonstrate an understanding of what service delivery excellence is for your role, ensuring you deliver the basics right every time and lead a team where service is central to good performance.
Managing Risk
• Awareness of your operational and regulation risks which may impact on your operations.
• Responsibility for reporting to your line manager any risk which may impact the business
Knowledge and Skills (what you know and what you can do)
Essential –
• Understanding and knowledge of Timber door sets
Desirable –
• All Accredited Qualifications within the Fire Door Industry welcome such as, FDIS,BM Trada and GAI
Experience (what you have done)
Desirable –
• Previous experience working to BM Trada Scheme

• Self-motivated, reliable, punctual and take pride in the quality of your work.
