The company offers an end-to-end, on premise, machine supply and breakdown service proposition under the name ‘Total Care’, and additional products and services. JLA is driven by a world class Sales & Marketing engine, owns and maintains all assets, and has an efficient on-site operations team working daily with our customers.
Role overview
The role of ‘Insights & Reward Partner’ is central to the success of the HR team and the wider business, ensuring we are collating all of our people metrics and providing the team with the insight and data to focus on the people and performance agenda across our business. As the KPI guru, you will shape, inform and direct our key processes within HR, ensuring we deliver the basics well and that our benefits, contracts and policies are up to date. Delivering a colleague insights strategy, you will also be responsible in supporting the Legal & HR Director with our Rewards Strategy for the business. This will include the management of new business acquisitions, understanding current employment propositions, and supporting with onboarding and integration to the JLA family (including the harmonisation of terms and conditions where appropriate).
Key tasks
- Responsible for all of our HR KPI’s and data, responsible for record keeping, and ensuring we are managing and processing our data in line with GDPR regulations.
- Ensuring our HR Dashboard is delivered monthly for the HR Team, providing insight on trends to help inform decision making by the HR Team and the wider business
- Responsible for pulling together all HR Reports on an annual, monthly and ad-hoc basis as required by the Legal & HR Director or Head of HR.
- Responsible for ensuring all contracts of employment are in place for every employee and that these are all signed and stored centrally.
- Ensure a process exists to ensure all HR documentation is kept up-to-date
- Support external auditors in the provision of information to ensure internal compliance to the required standards
- Ensure we have processes in place for referencing, security vetting (DBS checks etc), and the validation of ‘right to work’ checks
- Responsible for ensuring that HR manages the exit process for exiting colleagues and that exit interview feedback is collated and provided as ongoing feedback for the HR Team.
- Lead on the reward strategy for the business – reviewing market trends, benchmarking and analysing external information sources to ensure JLA remain competitive in our colleague offering
- Responsible for ensuring all of our benefits are managed in line with our benefit policy – to include Life Assurance, Pension, Private Healthcare, Employee Assistance Programme etc.
- Responsible for the CIPHR HR system, acting as the company Super User and ensuring that we are using the system to its full capability and that any version updates are managed and version revision roadmaps are shared with the HR Team.
- Responsible for overseeing any feeds or interfaces required by the internal Payroll Team to ensure all colleagues are paid accurately and on time.
- Responsible for keeping a central log of all HR/People collateral to facilitate regular refresh and updates in line with business changes, development and information.

Criteria
- Up to date HR legislation knowledge
- Excellent IT Systems knowledge (Sharepoint, Microsoft Excel and other MS products)
- HR Systems experience at Super User level
- Knowledge of the CIPHR HR system
- Understanding of payroll systems
- Understanding / previous experience using job evaluation tools

- Previous experience in a similar role, operating within a HR function in a multi-site organisation.
- Experience of implementing reward strategy.
- Adviser level, providing advice and guidance to leaders and managers.
- Previous experience of business acquisition / harmonisation of terms & conditions of employment.
