As Colleague Communications Manager you will shape and deliver clear, engaging, and consistent internal communications across the JLA Group. This role plays a key part in strengthening colleague engagement, supporting business change, and ensuring colleagues feel connected to our purpose, values, and strategy. You will work closely with senior leaders, HR, and colleagues across the business to bring our strategic narrative to life internally. You will ensure that colleague communications utilises the right channels, tone, and messaging.

Key tasks

  • Develop and deliver a colleague communications strategy aligned to JLA's business objectives and culture.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on internal messaging and communication planning, ensuring consistent tone of voice and messaging across all channels.
  • Create engaging content for a range of channels (such as intranet, email, Teams, town halls, presentations etc.).
  • Manage internal campaigns that support business priorities, change initiatives, and people initiatives.
  • Plan and deliver regular communications such as leadership updates, company news, and colleague announcements.

Leadership and Change Communications

  • Support leaders with clear, compelling communications especially around business performance, growth, and change.
  • Equip leaders with the appropriate tools to cascade key messages and brief teams accordingly to help colleagues understand ‘what this means for me’.

Colleague Engagement and Culture

  • Champion JLA's values and culture through storytelling and colleague-led content.
  • Identify opportunities to improve colleague engagement and two-way communication.
  • Use feedback and insight to continuously improve communications.

Collaboration and Governance

  • Work closely with senior leaders, Marketing, In-Life and External Comms colleagues, and HR to align internal and external messaging.
  • Maintain communication calendars and ensure timely delivery of key messages.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of internal communications activity.

Criteria

  • Proven experience in internal / colleague communications or employee engagement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
  • Experience in creative, media, or fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Familiarity with digital collaboration tools and intranet platforms.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior leaders.
  • Experience managing multiple channels and campaigns simultaneously.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting organisational change or transformation programmes.

Experience

  • 5 years’ communications experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
