The existing success within this sector has unlocked an opportunity to lead the team under the strategic guidance of the Sales Director.

The role within our Key National accounts core sectors is to deliver value-added solutions to our chosen markets across three key service propositions: Total Care, Service Contracts, and Machine Sales. Our Key National accounts are the largest customer set by group size across our Laundry & Catering verticals.

Role overview

Reporting to the Key National Sales Director, you will be responsible for increasing business by closing developed sales opportunities and discovering new streams of interest in the sector. Growth will be delivered through a mix of developing & attending appointments generated by a team of Business Development Executives, self-generation, and data-driven insights.

Key tasks

  • Responsible for growth and commercial account management within the sector.
  • Delivering against clear set of individual and team objectives.
  • Researching target markets, pursuing leads, and following through to a successful agreement.
  • Creating ‘Go-to-Market’ strategies that can be used to attract clients.
  • Understanding target markets, including industry trends and competitive analysis.
  • Track leading market opportunities and engagement with the right stakeholders.
  • Managing large complex deals to multisite and large groups.
  • Pricing strategies that align with the business and customer objectives.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver on both growth and resign strategies.
  • Dealing with senior group decision makers, procurement teams, and tender processes.

Demonstrate an understanding of what service excellence is in your role, ensuring you deliver the basics right every time and lead a team where the customer is at the heart of what we do.

You will have the ability to manage yourself & future direct reports without supervision and provide clear strategy plans to the management team. Tender process experience and writing skills to lead the opportunity with the support of the Bid Team.

Experience

  • Experience in solution/consultative sales into a service industry market.
  • Management of a successful sales team.
  • Experience in delivering contractual service solutions through direct proposals and formal tender processes.
  • Negotiation and presentation experience at senior decision maker level.
  • A successful track record in selling multi-product/service line solutions.
  • Experience of a critical asset environments service industry.
  • Ability to use data to drive positive growth outcomes.
  • Possess a strong understanding of our products, our competition in the industry, and positioning across all JLA’s verticals.

Qualifications

We will need you to have a full UK driving licence as the role involves UK national travel. Management/leadership experience and/or qualification.
