An established and growing infrastructure contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, supporting a portfolio of power distribution, transmission, and fibre projects across the UK and Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-to-senior level QS looking to step into a varied role with exposure to major utilities frameworks and cross-border project work.
Key Responsibilities- Manage commercial aspects of multiple utilities projects (power & fibre)
- Prepare and review cost plans, valuations, and variations
- Support contract administration and subcontractor management
- Work closely with project delivery teams to ensure commercial performance
- Assist with forecasting, reporting, and risk management
- Occasional travel to Ireland (1–2 times per month)
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within utilities, infrastructure, or civil engineering
- Exposure to power (distribution/transmission) and/or fibre/telecoms projects
- Strong commercial awareness and contract knowledge (NEC experience desirable)
- Ideally working towards or recently operating at Senior QS level
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel
