Are you an experienced Project Planner looking to play a key role in delivering critical Transmission & Distribution infrastructure projects across Scotland? My client is a rapidly growing and well-established energy infrastructure business, continuing to invest in its Power T&D division as it expands across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative planning team working on major infrastructure projects with genuine long-term career progression.

You'll work alongside an experienced project delivery team, taking ownership of project programmes from development through to completion, ensuring projects are planned, monitored and delivered successfully. The position offers flexibility to be based anywhere in Scotland, with travel to project sites and regional offices as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and update detailed project programmes using Primavera P6
  • Produce resource-loaded programmes and monitor progress throughout project delivery
  • Prepare programme updates, reports and forecasts for internal and client stakeholders
  • Work closely with engineering, commercial and operational teams to ensure programmes remain accurate and achievable
  • Identify programme risks, delays and change events
  • Support planning activities under NEC contracts
  • Carry out delay analysis and support wider project controls and performance reporting
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of major energy infrastructure projects

About You

We're keen to hear from experienced Project Planners with:

  • Proven planning experience within Transmission & Distribution, Utilities, Energy, Infrastructure or Civil Engineering
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6
  • Experience developing and maintaining complex project programmes
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Understanding of programme risk, delay analysis and project controls
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • Full UK driving licence
