Senior Electrical Estimator – Power & Renewables – Dublin Location: Dublin Permanent | Full-Time Competitive Salary + Package JL Renewable Solutions is recruiting an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join a leading engineering contractor delivering major Power, Renewable Energy and HV Infrastructure projects. Based in Dublin, this is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator with strong electrical experience to take ownership of complex tenders across HV substations, wind farms, grid connections and wider power infrastructure. You'll work closely with engineering, commercial, procurement and project delivery teams, taking tenders from initial enquiry and technical review through to submission and successful handover into construction. The Role As Senior Electrical Estimator, you'll be responsible for: * Preparing detailed estimates for complex electrical and HV infrastructure projects. * Completing take-offs from drawings, specifications and project scopes. * Reviewing Electrical Technical Specifications and Employers' Requirements. * Estimating Design & Build projects across HV substations, renewables and electrical infrastructure. * Managing and coordinating the tender process across multiple internal departments. * Preparing pricing schedules, BOQs and detailed cost estimates. * Obtaining and reviewing supplier and subcontractor quotations. * Identifying gaps, risks and opportunities within tender documentation. * Supporting preparation of technical submissions, including clarifications, inclusions, exclusions and programme information. * Managing several tender opportunities simultaneously. * Participating in tender reviews and post-tender meetings. * Following up submitted tenders and capturing feedback. * Supporting commercial negotiations where required. * Providing comprehensive tender handovers to project/construction teams following successful awards. About You I'm particularly interested in candidates with: * Approximately 5+ years' estimating/tendering experience within construction, engineering or infrastructure. * Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator, Senior Estimator, Tendering Engineer or Proposals Engineer. * Strong electrical knowledge. * Experience within Power, Renewables or Energy Infrastructure. * Previous exposure to HV substations, grid connections, wind or other high-voltage projects particularly advantageous. * Ability to interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications and Employers' Requirements. * Strong commercial and numerical capability. * Experience managing subcontractor and supplier enquiries. * Excellent Excel skills. * Ability to identify project risk and challenge assumptions. * Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills. * Ability to manage multiple tenders and competing deadlines. A relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a similar discipline would be advantageous. What's On Offer?
