JL Renewable Solutions are supporting a growing infrastructure contractor with the appointment of a Commercial Tendering Manager to support the continued expansion of its transmission and infrastructure portfolio across Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced commercial or pre-construction professional to play a key role in securing major infrastructure projects by leading the commercial and contractual aspects of the tendering process.

The Role

Reporting into the Commercial Director, you will take ownership of the commercial tendering process, ensuring bids are commercially robust, competitively priced and aligned with business objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the commercial and contractual review of tender opportunities
  • Developing pricing strategies and tender submissions
  • Preparing cost estimates and commercial proposals
  • Reviewing NEC contract terms and identifying commercial risks
  • Supporting bid strategy and tender planning activities
  • Managing subcontractor enquiries, quotations and commercial evaluations
  • Negotiating pricing and commercial terms with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Assessing project risks, opportunities and mitigation strategies
  • Working closely with operational, engineering and commercial teams throughout the bid lifecycle

Projects include transmission infrastructure, overhead line works, underground cable installations, civils, bridge works, foundations, trackway construction and associated infrastructure projects.
