A specialist utilities contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to support the delivery of high-value high voltage (HV) grid and infrastructure projects across the South West. This is a key commercial role within a growing business, offering the opportunity to take ownership of major projects while contributing to wider commercial strategy and performance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the commercial management of HV / power infrastructure projects
- Oversee cost control, forecasting, and reporting across multiple schemes
- Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and accounts
- Administer contracts (NEC preferred) and manage change/variations
- Provide commercial input into project delivery and risk management
- Support and mentor junior commercial staff where required
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to drive commercial performance
- Proven experience operating at Senior QS or Commercial Manager level
- Background in utilities, power, energy, or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial processes
- Experience working on high voltage / grid / transmission projects (highly desirable)
- Ability to manage projects independently and influence stakeholders
- Full UK driving licence
