Brigadiers are seeking a Senior Reception Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be friendly, personable and passionate about all things food and drink. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Reception Manager/Reception Manager looking for a new role in an award-winning, critically acclaimed group.
The Restaurant Inspired by the army mess bars of India, where military regiments go to eat, drink and socialise, Brigadiers accommodates 140 covers internally with a further 34 on an outdoor terrace. Encouraging socialising and camaraderie, live sport is shown on demand in selected rooms, whilst pool and classic card games are offered for those who wish to play while they eat and drink. The food offering focuses on different methods of Indian barbecue, utilising tandoors, charcoal grills, rotisseries, wood ovens and classic Indian smokers. The drinks offering marries together the food and social spirit of the restaurant with beer, whisky, cocktails on tap and large serves.
The Position We are looking for an experienced Reception Manager to ensure a welcoming and engaging first impression, and an exceptional guest experience, ensuring a seamless journey for our guests from start to finish.
If you have experience in the following, then we want to hear from you:
- Proven experience as a Reception Manager or Senior in a premium high-volume London restaurant
- Deliver a professional and welcoming guest experience, building rapport to encourage repeat visits
- Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists strategically to maximise covers and service flow
- Handle guest enquiries across phone, email, and in person with professionalism and diplomacy
- Oversee VIPs, regulars, and special requests with discretion and attention to detail
- Respond to guest feedback, complaints, and last-minute changes calmly and efficiently
- Maintain a strong presence on reception during peak service periods
- Optimise table allocation to support revenue and smooth operations
- Monitor booking trends and adjust strategies accordingly
- Coordinate large parties, private dining bookings, and special events
- Full proficiency in SevenRooms
