We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people. This role involves working with children who may have experienced trauma, or who have learning disabilities and behavioural difficulties (EBD). Your role will be crucial in ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. We have a number of Residential Support Worker opportunities available within the Kidderminster area, working on a Temporary and Contract basis, and the positions offer an immediate start for the successful applicant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emotional and practical support to children and young people in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Assist in developing independent living skills, education, and social engagement.
  • Implement and follow care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.
  • Work closely with families, social workers, schools, and healthcare professionals.
  • Support children with daily routines, including personal care, meal preparation, and bedtime routines.
  • Encourage participation in recreational activities, hobbies, and community engagement.
  • Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours in a trauma-informed way.
  • Ensure all safeguarding procedures are followed and report any concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with legal and organisational requirements.
