Hours: Permanent Night Duty Shift Pattern: 23:00 – 07:00, working across a 7-day rota on a 5-week shift pattern.

Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Night Duty Care Response Officer to join our team. This role involves providing responsive support during overnight hours, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of service users by responding to callouts across the city as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to emergency and non-emergency callouts throughout the city during night shifts.
  • Provide high-quality care and support to service users in line with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and record information accurately using computer-based systems.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, service users, and other professionals.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports relating to incidents, callouts, and support provided.
  • Work independently and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience working within a care environment.
  • Competent in the use of computers and electronic record-keeping systems.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for use whilst on duty.
  • Ability to travel and respond to callouts across the city.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work permanent night shifts as part of a 5-week rota.

Compliance Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS Check with Adult Barred List clearance is required for this position.
