Mental Health Community Carer (Driver essential)
Job Purpose
To provide person-centred support to individuals with mental health needs in their homes and the community, promoting independence, wellbeing, and recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical and emotional support to service users.
- Support individuals with daily living activities, appointments, and community access.
- Encourage independence, social inclusion, and positive mental wellbeing.
- Monitor and report any changes in a service user’s condition.
- Maintain accurate records and follow care plans.
- Work in line with safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality policies.
Essential Requirements
- Experience in health and social care or mental health support.
- Compassionate, reliable, and person-centred approach.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle (essential).
- Enhanced DBS check.
Desirable
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
- Experience supporting people with mental health conditions.
