The Role
- Operating a clean, tidy, audit ready, well maintained, efficient, safe, profitable and happy factory.
- Ensuring internal and external site standards achieve the highest level at all times.
- Together with the production manager drive production with food safety and best practice uppermost in mind, consistently seeking operational excellence and efficiency.
- Strategize, plan and manage daily and weekly schedules with the production manager.
- Pursuing improvements in every aspect with and for all staff. Monitor production output, yields, and KPIs.
- Tracking performance targets.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, Health & Safety, COSHH, and allergen controls.
- Liaise with supply chain and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Support new product launches.
- Taking part in Quality Culture events.
- This is a full time on site role which demands full commitment. The candidate must be available out of hours.
- The successful applicant will be the ‘go to’ person on site.
Requirements
- The successful candidate will understand how to and what it is to thrive.

- Strong planning, organisational, and multitasking skills are essential.
- Clear communicator with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Food manufacturing experience essential.
- An analytical mindset with a track record of improving production KPIs and implementing efficiency. Confident using Excel.
- HACCP Level 3 required. Additional IOSH/ food safety qualifications advantageous.
- Experience in food factory management and LEAN manufacturing.
- Experience of people management across all staff levels in all areas.
- Scheduling building works and machinery installations.
- Taking part in stock takes and reconciliation with a view to constant improvement.
- Educational qualifications are an advantage as indeed is a strong entrepreneurial bent.
Benefits
- 52 long weekends a year. The factory works a 4 day week 10½ hour days with overtime and maintenance on Fridays.
