We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator/installer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting various steel products. This role offers an excellent opportunity to help our company grow even more, contributing to the production of high-quality products. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a can do attitude and experience in various welding and fabrication techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding and other welding processes on various materials, including sheet metal and structural components.
  • Fabricate parts according to technical drawings, specifications, and work orders.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
  • Fit fabricated items to farm buildings and commercial/residential properties.
  • Conduct inspections of completed welds and fabricated parts for quality assurance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in the assembly of finished products as required.
  • Read technical drawings and interpret measurements for precise fabrication.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in MIG welding, with a strong understanding of standard practice.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal work and basic mechanical principles.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and perform basic math calculations for measurements.
  • Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of assembly processes.
  • Experience working with various materials including steel, aluminium, or other metals.
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
