We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator/installer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting various steel products. Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding and other welding processes on various materials, including sheet metal and structural components
- Fabricate parts according to technical drawings, specifications, and work orders
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components
- Fit fabricated items to farm buildings and commercial/residential properties
- Conduct inspections of completed welds and fabricated parts for quality assurance
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assist in the assembly of finished products as required
- Read technical drawings and interpret measurements for precise fabrication
Qualifications
- Proven experience in MIG welding, with a strong understanding of standard practice
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Knowledge of sheet metal work and basic mechanical principles
- Ability to read technical drawings and perform basic math calculations for measurements
- Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of assembly processes
- Experience working with various materials including steel, aluminium, or other metals
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
