Our client, a leading professional services business with offices based in South East London, seeks an IT Support Engineer on a full-time, hybrid working basis. This is a brand new role to the business and will report directly to the Head of IT.
You will provide first and second line IT support to business users across the firm, both on-site and remotely, taking ownership of issues and seeing them through to resolution. This will include:
- Setting up, configuring and maintaining end user devices
- Managing asset registers, stock levels and replacement of equipment
- Supporting MS 365 Windows, proprietary business systems, and setting up new user accounts
- Working with outsourced IT providers and vendors to resolve incidents and service issues
In addition, you will support IT security controls, updates and patches, work on compliance initiatives such as Cyber Essentials and data protection requirements, and support IT projects such as system upgrades, new tech rollouts and process enhancements.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an IT support or service/help desk role, strong working knowledge of MS Windows, 365 and standard MS Office applications, a core understanding of networking and hardware, and experience with service management networks (ITIL).
