The Role: This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Receptionist to join a Financial Services firm in Edinburgh. The Senior Receptionist will take ownership of the smooth and professional running of the Front of House area, confidently managing daily office administrative tasks and delivering first-class client service.
The Senior Receptionist will manage and work alongside both the Junior Receptionist and Telephonist, supporting both functions in the smooth running of services, coordinating daily tasks for the Reception team and dividing them amongst both. They will help cover the switchboard in the absence of the Telephonist, maintaining a high level of efficiency. Always forward-thinking, they will ensure both phones and meeting events are covered, and meeting rooms are fully stocked, clean, and ready to use.
The Senior Receptionist will maintain professionalism when meeting visitors of the firm as well as staff members, ensuring clear and precise messages are taken and forwarded in a timely manner. They will assist with the setup of large catered meeting events and arrange lunches for client meetings. Additionally, they will maintain stock levels of all refreshments required for the meeting rooms, ensuring to order stock when needed. The Senior Receptionist will also be expected to take on First Aid and Fire Marshall roles.
The Candidate: 2-3 years relevant experience working as a Front of House / Receptionist for a corporate office/building environment. Intermediate competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Excellent organisational, time management, and administrative skills. Knowledge of Financial Services would be beneficial, although not essential. Ability to provide 5-star service, with a can-do attitude and flexibility. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong time management skills. Well presented and professional at all times.
