The Role:
The Paraplanning Team Leader will actively manage a team of Paraplanners who are supporting Wealth Planners by carrying out high-quality research on a full range of financial planning products and services including pensions, life insurance, tax planning and investment management.
The Paraplanning Team Leader would have significant Paraplanning experience to be able to support Wealth Planners delivering more complex advice. Prepare client centric suitability reports and other documentation, adhering to the Company's processes and compliance framework.
The Paraplanning Team Leader will oversee the workload of the Paraplanning team and will deal with day-to-day workload issues and team absences. Contribute to efficiency improvement initiatives and sharing of best practice.
Support the Head of Paraplanning to ensure that processes are followed correctly and consistently across the Paraplanning teams, with involvement in process changes and improvements where required. Responsible for the management of a team including supporting their training and development.
The Paraplanning Team Leader will undertake appropriate, accurate and relevant research, based on the information gathered by the Wealth Planner, known information for clients in the on-going advice service and existing products/services the client has, to enable the Wealth Planner to recommend a suitable solution to meet the client's needs and objectives with a good outcome. Undertake accurate calculations and cash-flow modelling where needed to support recommendations.
The Paraplanning Team Leader will prepare suitability reports and letters for the Wealth Planners to provide their recommendation based on our knowledge of the client.
The Candidate
Senior level Paraplanning experience – with Team Management / Team Leadership experience.
Experience in all Financial Planning practices and disciplines including Investments, Pensions and Protection, with experience of dealing with more complex areas of financial planning advice
RQF level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent)
Studying towards Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning, with the aim of achieving Chartered Financial Planner status (desirable).
Experience of XPlan (Desired)
Experience of Cashflow Planning software (Desired).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
