The Role: The Financial Adviser will be a Level 4 Diploma qualified Adviser, responsible for one-to-one meetings with employees of various Companies (clients), discussing how they can best utilise their Workplace Pension as part of their overall financial plan. The Financial Adviser will understand when and how to amalgamate pensions, overall pension or investment targeting, including efficient use of Mortgages. They will identify when to use other financial products such as ISAs, protection policies, cash accounts, and when Buy to Let and alternative investments might be appropriate as part of a financial plan, helping clients to identify how best to save for retirement.
The Financial Adviser may create presentations that could include general financial planning guidance, announcing changes in workplace benefits such as pension scheme switching or the introduction of new features such as Salary Sacrifice implementation. The role will support employee guidance that will entail Tax and Allowance calculations and will create employee-facing documents that help explain financial services products or concepts in an accessible way. The Financial Adviser will maintain an online Literature Library designed to explain the most common personal finance and benefits issues to employees. They will manage relationships, ideally with employers (the clients) as well as individuals.
The Candidate:
- Level 4 Financial Planning Diploma essential
- Good working knowledge of workplace Pensions and Group Risk products as well as individual personal finance products, including with-profits and historic pension contracts
- Great with people, enjoy providing solutions and able to explain things simply for anyone to understand
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- CeMap or MAQ mortgage qualification
