The Role
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Asset Transfers / Transitions managerial candidate to manage a small Transitions team within the firm. The successful candidate will have solid Transitions experience, and an in-depth knowledge of SIPP would be a bonus. This role sits within Operations and takes responsibility for the transfer of client assets.
The Transitions Manager is to confidently oversee the day-to-day administration within the Transitions team, ensuring timely transitions of client assets, track and report on assets in transfer and ensure adherence to Service Level agreements and within controls set. The Transitions Manager is to check and process transfer requests received from the Investment Management firms relationship management team, whilst liaising with any third parties regarding settlement and inputting instructions into Pershing NEXUS system. The Transitions Manager will communicate with fund managers and custodians to manage the smooth and timely transition of client assets to and from the Investment Management firm. The Transitions Manager will efficiently track and report any assets in transfer, providing clear and concise updates. The Transitions Manager is to manage the Transitions mailbox, post and telephone queries as well as monitoring reports and systems to check for receipt of funds and assets, process cheques for the custodian to apply to the accounts. The Transitions Manager will process transfers through the firms electronic registration system – Althus and Origo.
The Candidate
- 3 - 5 years Transitions / Asset Transfer experience within an Investment Management setting
- Team management or Supervisor experience – of a Transfers team.
- Strong knowledge of asset transfer process including unit trust, CREST, foreign, certificated and cash movements.
- Ideally knowledge of ISA, SIPP, Offshore Bond.
- Knowledge of Pershing NEXUS, Altus / Origo is system is an advantage.
