The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Tax Assistant to take responsibility in supporting the Tax Reporting Manager in a variety of tax reporting administrative and data collection tasks.

The Tax Assistant will help with the management of the tax reporting inbox, ensuring all queries are dealt with efficiently. Assisting with any internal communications with regards to distribution timelines for tax reporting.

The Tax Assistant will assist with the distribution of tax reporting documents to private clients, the production and distribution to clients of Tax Income Summary reports for the relevant tax year.

The Tax Assistant will assist with data collation and production of Alternative Income Fund (AIF) Income Summary Reports for relevant clients each tax year, and with the maintenance of the firms books and records.

The Tax Assistant will act as the middle person between the investment operations team and tax team, focusing on reconciling data entered in to the system and ensuring it is accurate for tax reporting purposes.

The Tax Assistant will confidently perform various data related activities and develop and maintain expertise in firm CRM system, helping to manage data quality with respect to tax reporting.

The Candidate

Minimum of 1-2 years Tax experience, ideally within a wealth management firm or certainly dealing with Tax Reporting relating to individual private clients.

A good understanding of Personal Income Tax.

Strong numerical and analytical skills with close attention to detail to maintain the highest level of quality and accuracy.

Proficiency in data analysis and reconciliation processes; familiarity with tax reporting tools and requirements.

Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies in data and reporting processes.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
