The Company: Our client is a boutique wealth management company, highly recognised with a fantastic reputation.

The Role: The Investment Assistant position is working for an important Investment Management team within a highly credible Wealth Management company based in the City of London. The role will assist in resolving the Wealth Management firm's client queries regarding their Investment Portfolios or Account Opening.

  • The Investment Assistant will collate and distribute Account Opening packs and ensure that they are fully and accurately completed and that all necessary documentation is provided for the Wealth Management clients.
  • The Investment Assistant will collate Investment Statements ensuring that information around the Wealth Management client’s Investment Management objectives, risk profile and financial situation is accurately recorded and that any discrepancies are investigated and resolved.
  • Monitor the progress and timeliness of account opening and asset/cash transfers.
  • The Investment Assistant will provide regular and ad-hoc information to clients ensuring that documents and reports are accurate, consistent and dispatched to timetable.
  • The Investment Assistant will ensure correspondence and reporting is clear and not misleading, technically accurate and tailored to the client’s level of knowledge and understanding.
  • The Investment Assistant will liaise effectively with external custodians and providers to obtain information required for Wealth Management clients.

The Candidate: 2-4 years’ experience in a similar Investment Support / Investment Assistant role dealing with Private Clients / HNW clients is essential. IAD – happy to work towards this if not already achieved. A knowledge of private equity investments is beneficial. Good knowledge/experience with Microsoft Excel is favourable. Takes initiative for own work, but also works well as part of a team and at all times acts in a professional manner. Accuracy and attention to detail and will take time to double check work. Strong communication skills; both verbal and written. Flexibility with a willingness to learn and take on new tasks and learn fast. Deals with all matters promptly, professionally and effectively without being reminded.
